International Students
The International School of Beauty Therapy has been in existence for over thirty years teaching all aspects of Beauty Therapy and has a very high reputation in the Beauty Therapy Industry. ISBT is registered with CRICOS, Provider No: 02747G, to deliver nationally accredited courses to Overseas Students who hold a valid Student Visa.
ISBT is a member of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) and the TPS (Tuition protection scheme) which guarantees Overseas Student fees. www.acpet.edu.au
ISBT is situated in the city of Fremantle, a short train ride from the Perth CBD. The harbour city of Fremantle is situated between the Swan River and the Indian Ocean, both only 5 minutes walk from the School. ISBT is found in one of the main streets, just over the road from the famous Fremantle markets.
Fremantle railway station is only 5 minutes walk away, and a free Cat bus will bring you from the station to the top of Norfolk street where the school is found. Alternatively you can just walk to the school along the Cappucino strip. The city has many boutiques, cafes, pubs and shops and is a colourful and lively place with an al fresco atmosphere. It is also home to Notre Dame University.
Minimum requirements for Overseas Students are that they be a minimum of 18 years old, have a mark of at least 55% in an accredited English subject, or an IELTS score of 5.5. Prospective students may attend ISBT for assessment of their English language ability. This will include a written and verbal assessment. For those students who require English language training a list of training establishments is available.
Prospective Overseas Students must consider the cost of living in Australia when costing the amount of money required to undertake their chosen course. On top of the Course fees and air fares, a Student should make an allowance of at least $AUD2000.00 a month to cover food, rent, power, phone charges, transport and entertainment. This is not an exhaustive list and will depend on the students own lifestyle.

It is mandatory for Overseas Students to have Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of the Student Visa (VLC)

Students seeking Course Credits (Recognised Prior Learning [RPL]) should request a Course Credit form with their application. Course Credits can be applied for, before, and up to four weeks after, the Course Commencement. There is no charge for assessment of prior learning if a student is applying to enrol in a school course.

Contact ISBT by mail, phone or email and request an Application Form and a Course Credit Form if required (link to contact us page)
An information Pack will be sent to you by email
Return all completed relevant forms
A Letter of Offer and an Acceptance of Offer letter will be sent to you by email
Return the Acceptance of Offer letter with all relevant fees
A Confirmation Letter and a CoE will be sent to you by email
Upon receipt of the CoE (confirmation of Enrolment) you will need to apply for your student visa either
- from the Australian Consulate or Embassy if you are abroad
- from the Department of Immigration if you are in Australia. This can either be in person or you can submit an online application
