Hair removal

Although the average beauty salon offers its clients a wide range of treatment options, those that are aimed at removing unwanted facial hair have remained among the most popular for many years. Waxing is usually reserved for the body as it can be quite painful and laser therapy can work out to be rather expensive. A more recent development that offers a combination of excellent results and affordable prices is intense pulsed light, which has encouraged many therapists to learn as much about the technology as possible. We are pleased to be able to offer courses covering this hair removal technique that meet ITEC requirements and that after you have completed them will give you the confidence to offer this treatment in a salon environment. In July, our first  candidates for the ITEC  Diploma in IPL for hair removal and skin rejuvenation, successfully achieved the qualification, which was excellent. We are really pleased to be able to offer these new qualifications, which have been especially designed for Beauty Therapists.

We hope to be adding some more new qualifications to our syllabus shortly.

We have also introduced two new products to the school for student use. They are Aspect and Glo-Minerals, which compliment our new courses and the products we already use – Payot, Guinot and Danne and Natural Compatibles.

I attended “The International School of Beauty Therapy” for a year and graduated in December 2008. I had the most fantastic year studying and made lots of new friends.  Last year I set up my own Beauty Salon, and now, 18 months later have a successful thriving business in Claremont. At The International School of Beauty Therapy not only were we taught how to confidently carry out a vast variety of Beauty Treatments but were also equipped with the business acumen and people skills needed to manage and run a busy Salon.
