Situated in the city of Fremantle, the school is close to both the Swan River and the Indian Ocean. The light and airy premises have been custom built for training Beauty Therapy and are situated on Norfolk Street close to the famous Fremantle Markets . The school is just 5 minutes walk from the railway station, along Fremantles Cafe Strip, and an 5 minute walk to the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, arguably the most popular destination for ‘Fish and Chips’ in Perth. The shops, boutiques and cafes are a popular lunchtime destination for the students.
The International School is equipped with modern teaching aids and equipment that the trainee therapist would expect to find in a salon or day spa, thus ensuring up to date training in Beauty Therapy.
The facilities include two large practical rooms, one equipped for facial therapy and one for body therapy. In these rooms the students work on each other, family, friends and salon clients, performing a multitude of treatments, facials, hydradermie, make-up, waxing, lash extensions, microdermabrasion, aromatherapy, body wraps, spa treatments, reflexology, body massage and many more. Theory classes are also part of the training as the background knowledge is vital to ensure the students are both knowledgeable and can work safely and these classes are conducted in the theory room. Students are provided with training manuals as part of their course fee, but they also have access to many books to aid their studies. A student kitchen/coffee room are also available.
All the teaching staff have obtained their Diploma of Beauty Therapy plus International qualifications, and have a minimum of three years practical experience of working in the beauty industry. Their experience ranges from being a cruise ship beauty therapist, working in the UK, a spa manager, to working in a salon, whilst both the principal and head tutor are International examiners for the CIDESCO examining board. Together they bring a wealth of experience to the students.
